Over the years, I have performed in Holland, France, Switzerland, Italy, England, Germany, Belgium, Norway, Turkey, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Canada, USA, South Africa, Mozambique and India.

I am happy to be adding a new country, Latvia, to this list, very soon, in April, when I will do concerts there with French pianist Stéphan Oliva. Our programme “The Listening” centers around the intriguing compositions by Jimmy Giuffre and Don Cherry.

From Latvia, I will travel to Bremen, where I will attend for the first time the jazz ahead! to represent the FONDATION SUISASUISA‘s charitable foundation for music promotion, funded by SUISA (the Swiss Cooperative Society of Music Authors and Publishers). I have been a member of SUISA since 1996, and was elected as a member of the FONDATION SUISA’s foundation council in April 2014.

As an artist, intellectual property (and its protection) is key. Creating. Developping ideas. Composing. Writing. Arranging. This is what we do for a living. I received lots of help in the form of knowledgeable information from SUISA regarding copyrights when composing for poems. Out of lack of time, I never filed an application for support of my tours. Nevertheless it has been wonderful for me to see how many great projects can be supported by FONDATION SUISA.

Come and see me in Bremen if you can! I am particularly looking forward to attend the ECM club night on April 25 at Sendesaal Bremen and hear the concerts of my label colleagues featuring their new releases.
