Research: “Jazz Utopia”, Birmingham, April 2016

Happy that our submission for the Rhythm Changes conference “Jazz Utopia” was selected for presentation. The Rhythm Changes conference is a four-day multi-disciplinary conference held at the Birmingham City University in the UK, bringing together researchers across the arts and humanities.

Since 2012, I have been conducting several research projects at the HEMU Lausanne. We started with “Jazz 2012”, which was followed up by “1970-2013?”. Right now, I am in the middle of my third  project “Oreille Absolue”. Thanks to insight provided by our students and fellow professors, I am starting to understand more about this thrilling and little researched subject.

Looking forward to listening to what colleagues from all over the world are researching.  Birmingham, April 2016.
